Description

Provide energy modeling services for this new health care facility to be built in West Valley City. Energy services will be in accordance with DFCM's High Performance Building Standard (HPBS) and will involve collaboration with the design team to help the team establish and reach energy efficiency goals. This includes energy modeling and analysis along with various forms of reporting required to communicate building performance targets and projected outcomes. This also includes lifecycle cost analysis to support decision making and ensure those decisions are based on lifecycle cost. The energy modeler will also participate in TVD processes and will be required to meet with the design team and sub committees on a regular basis. Additional services may include, but are not limited to, specific daylighting analysis, embodied carbon analysis, energy code compliance documentation, and post-construction analysis Please note - the projected cost of energy engineering is expected to be much lower than the cost calculated using the DFCM A/E Fee Schedule. Fees will be negotiated and based on the estimated time and resources required to deliver services that will be further defined after the selection process is complete. The selection shall be under the Value Based Selection method and will be based solely on the scoring of submittals (no interviews). The Solicitation for Consultants (SFC) documents, including the proposal requirements, the selection criteria and Selection Schedule will be available at 3:00 PM on Friday, September 9, 2022 on the Utah Public Procurement Place (U3P) website and can also be accessed via the DFCM website - Electronic Bidding. No others are to be contacted regarding this project. *Proposal dates for the required references, management plans, statements of qualifications and interviews will be based on the Selection Schedule included in this SFC.** The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
