Description

The project work is comprised of furnishing all equipment, labor, material, plant, and superintendence to perform all work necessary for the removal of existing roadway and sidewalks, new concrete curbing, new paving of roadway, new bituminous concrete sidewalk, driveway aprons, replace catch basins, reset manhole tops, traffic markings & signs and associated miscellaneous work. A bid bond, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid shall accompany each bid with a performance bond and a labor & materials bond. A non-collusion statement for Prime Contractors and any addendum acknowledgement must also be submitted at the time of the bid. The City of Torrington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, or to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the contract as it feels will best serve the public interest. All bids will be considered valid for a period of sixty (60) days.
