Description

a. Removal of debris and stored materials along with abatement of ACM and comingled debris. b. No reuse or recycling of debris and stored materials found within the building is allowed. Debris, stored materials, ACM, and comingled debris shall be disposed of in a Sub-title D solid waste landfill under approved disposal profile(s). Documentation of disposal is required. c. Asbestos abatement includes, but is not limited to, the ACMs identified in Tables 1, 2, and 3 of the “Asbestos, Lead-based Paint, and Hazardous/Regulated Materials Assessment” report provided in Attachment A. The report is incorporated into the Contract documents by reference. d. Roofing and roofing materials are excluded from the abatement scope of work. e. Window and door caulking shall be abated in-place. Windows and doors shall not be removed as part of the abatement scope of work. Where transite window blanks are present, they shall be abated by removal. f. Abatement may require Select Demolition, including but not limited to, demolition of non-structural areas to expose pipe chases, and the removal of transite stair treads. Where transite stair treads have been removed, the Contractor shall provide safe, construction grade, replacement stair treads. g. If the Contractor discovers previously unidentified suspect ACM, the Contractor must stop work and notify the Owner prior to abating the material.
