VA Hawaii TAMC Renovate Emergency Generators

Work to be performed at the Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC), Parking Structure, E-wing, and the Center for Aging (CFA), located on the Tripler Army Medical Center Campus, 459 Patterson Road, Honolulu, HI 96819. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and supervision necessary to perform the following repairs: Building 30 (ACC): The ACC is supported by one (1) 750kW, 480V Caterpillar 3508 standby diesel generator set, serial number 23Z07184, batteries, battery charger, day tank, and associated equipment. See Attachment 1 for existing generator conditions and location. a. Trench and excavate approximately 140 linear feet of earth necessary to access the underground fuel lines. b. Disconnect and demo the existing fuel lines that supply the ACC emergency generator. c. Furnish and install new underground fuel lines that supply the ACC emergency generator with equivalent or better piping. d. Furnish and install new aboveground fuel lines that supply the ACC emergency generator with equivalent or better piping. e. Repair existing tank supports on the aboveground fuel tank. f. Provide both a temporary fuel tank and generator for the duration of the work. Building 32 (Parking Garage): The parking structure is supported by one (1) 200 kW Cummins 200DFAA standby emergency engine-generator set, serial number F960608581, batteries, battery charger, day tank, and associated equipment. a. Replace the existing controller system. b. The new controller system shall be compatible with the existing generator.
