Description

In general, work shall include but not limited to demolition of sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveway approaches, cross gutters, removal and disposal of existing trees and existing tree stumps; furnishing and installing new 15-gallon trees, plant establishment and maintenance period; repairing of sidewalk, curb and gutter, driveway approaches, cross gutters, grinding of sidewalk lips, construction of ADA pedestrian curb ramps; excavation, hauling and disposal of pavement, soil, and concrete; traffic control and erosion and sediment control plan as noted on the plans and all incidental and appurtenant improvements and restorations specified on the Plans and herein these Special Provisions. In addition to electronic Bid submittals, sealed original hard copies (to be used for verification) must also be sent via courier service, mailed, or delivered. Hardcopies shall be received within 5 working days after Bid opening date: Complete Proposal signed and dated; Signed Addendum, if any; Bid Bond; Bidder's Statement of Financial Responsibility Technical Ability and Experience; Insurance Certification; Non-Collusion Declaration of Contractor; and Bidder's Statement of Subcontractors- Part I. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the forfeiture of the Bidder's rank in the Bid process. A Bid shall not be accepted, nor any contract or subcontract entered into without proof of the contractor or subcontractors current registration to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771.1. Per Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 1, Section 1771.1 of the California Labor Code, a Contractor or Subcontractor shall not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 . It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered Contractor to submit a Bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the Contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
