Playgrounds

Recreation would like to enlarge the playground pit area and put a concrete border around it. There is a basketball court on part of the south side of the playground pit and that will be the concrete border there and all the remaining border will need to be poured; however, a transition will need to be made between the playground pit border and the basketball court because there is a difference in elevations, see attached photo. The playground pit currently has a jog in it, (shaped similar to Utah), see the attached aerial photo. Contractor is to remove sod and soil in that area making the playground pit square, 70' x 50', remove the sod and soil to a depth of 14". Concrete border is to be 14" deep x 6" wide, no reinforcing, work must include removing the existing border and site prep. May include pumping the concrete, to eliminate landscape damage.

Division 31 -	Earthwork, Selective Clearing, Grading.
Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Athletic and Recreational Surfacing, Site Improvements, Fences and Gates, Planting.
