Project Number: WIN 26578.00 is a collaborative effort between the Upper Valley Economic Corporation and the Maine Department of Transportation. Location: In Piscataquis County, project is located at T1 R9 WELS on the Baxter State Park Road, approx. 8 miles west of Millinocket, adjacent to North Woods Trading Post. (Lat 45.730538 Long -68.837917) Outline of Work: The project involves the construction of a 25 x 28 building with block/concrete walls with wood veneer covering, internal plumbing, building electrics, installing deep well pump and connecting the water line from the existing drilled well to the building, connecting the existing septic system to the building, and other incidental work. The basis of award will be lowest base bid. Each bid must be made on blank forms provided by the UVEC and must be accompanied either by a bid bond at 5% of the bid amount or an official bank check, cashier's check, certified check, certificate of deposit, or United States postal money order for 5% of the bid amount, payable to UPPER VALLEY ECONOMIC CORPORATION as a bid guaranty. A Contract Performance Surety Bond and a Contract Payment Surety Bond, each for 100 percent of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder.
