Switches, Wireless Equipment, and Related Installation Services

To provide switches, wireless equipment, and installation services to update equipment in the district of approximately schools 98 school buildings. Contractors are to provide a turn-key wireless network solution that works seamlessly with Baltimore City Public Schools core network and environment. This bid shall include all necessary switches, connectors, software, configuration, licenses, cabling, and project management to the complete satisfaction of Baltimore City Public Schools Technology Standards. Currently, City Schools has standardized on Aruba 802.11n or 802.11ac wireless equipment, or equivalent, for implementation. The wireless controller will be located at Central Office. The Wireless Make and Model is Aruba Wireless controller 7240. The Access Points must be 100% operable and must be able to broadcast Aruba Discovery Protocol (ADP). The Minimum Access Point model required is the Aruba 535, or equivalent. Contractor will be responsible for installing (at each school site list in RFB) Wireless Access Points (WAP) and providing any necessary rack, patch panels and or switch equipment to connect to access points.
