Mt. Carberry Secure Landfill - Stage 13 Groundwater Separation Demonstration Project

The Groundwater Separation Demonstration is advanced site work for the Stage 13 landfill expansion and includes general site work, selective demolition, material segregation, processing, stockpiling, and hauling, excavation, filling, and grading, stormwater control, stormwater infrastructure construction, installation of 60-mill HDPE geomembrane, and all other pertinent work as described on the plans and project documents. Since time is of the essence, the Stage 13 Groundwater Separation Demonstration Project and all other work must be substantially completed within 150 days of the Notice to Proceed. It is anticipated that the Notice to Proceed will be issued and work will commence on or about May 1, 2023. The Contractor should note that liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000/day for substantial completion and $1,000/day for final completion will be levied for every calendar day in excess of the specified contract times Plans and specifications may be viewed at the offices of: (1) The District, 3 Twelfth Street, PO Box 336, Berlin, NH 03570 Bidders will be required to furnish a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities in any or all proposals, to reject any or all proposals, or accept any proposal submitted for the project, as deemed by the Owner to be in its best interests based upon qualifications, experience, demonstrated ability to perform, cost, and other factors deemed by the Owner to bear on the successful outcome of the Contract.
