Description | Major League Baseball (MLB) Player Development League (PDL) Improvements at Canal Park 1. Interior Service Level Renovations and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Finishes g. Firestopping & Fireproofing h. Installation of Owner Furnished Items i. Chain Link Fencing at Storage Area 2. Mechanical Prime Contract (Bid Package "M") a. Demolition (related to below) b. Plumbing c. HVAC d. Misc. Mechanical e. Fire Protection f. Installation of Owner Furnished Items 3. Electrical Prime Contract (Bid Package "E") a. Demolition (related to below) b. Electric Power, Panels & Devices c. Electrical Systems d. Lighting e. Electrical Finishes f. Fire Alarm g. Installation of Owner Furnished Items City of Akron Local Goal: 18% EDGE/DBE/MBE/WBE/SBE/VBE (minimum 3% WBE) Major League Baseball (MLB) has dictated specific requirements for all Player Development League (PDL) Facilities. To meet these requirements for the Home and Visitors Clubhouses at Canal Park, relocation of the Laundry Room is necessary. This will provide the space for commissary and dining areas that are required within each Clubhouse. This work includes substantial demolition for all prime contracts, as well as concrete and masonry work to create the new Laundry Room in currently unimproved space across the hall. Also included are the interior renovations and additions needed to bring each Clubhouse into MLB compliance.
