Additions & Renovations to the Dr. J.P. Cleary Elementary School: The addition includes a new one story, approx. 3650 SF addition consisting of two new classrooms and a stage extneding from the existing gymnasium, and minor renovations including a new security window and the replacement of 16 reheat coils. Site work consists of a new walking track, playground, basketball court, and baseball field. The stage flooring, walking track, and the entire stage portion of the addition are referenced in deduct alternates for this project. The following items highlight cost saving changes which have been incorporated into the revised bid documents - including but not limited to the following: 1. The Roof Replacement originally in the Project is now a separate project.2. The roof of the addition was changed to flat roof with a much simpler steel structure.3. The size of the addition was reduced by approximately 468 SF.4. Limited the amount of demolition of the existing building where the addition connects.5. Eliminated the 10 added parking spaces from the Site Plan.6. Eliminated the Stage Sound System and Specialty Lighting System.7. Eliminated the need to tie into the Gymnasium wood floor.8. Changed Exterior Sign Spec.9. Reduced the MEP scope throughout, now focused on the addition and just the new HVAC reheat coilis.10. Changed the Veneer from Brick to CMU base with Metal Siding above.
