Southwest Water Treatment Plant Sedimentation Basin Improvements

The Project is generally described as follows: demolition of concrete masonry unit baffle walls in basins 1 and 2; replace baffle walls with 304 Stainless Steel baffle walls; demolition of existing sludge collection system for 4 basins; install new hose-less sludge collection system in each basin; demolition of existing lime silos and piping; construct new fluoride storage tank area with double wall tank; remove selected existing chemical storage tank; provide new chemical storage tanks as described in the specifications and contract drawings. As part of the prequalification process, prospective. Bids will be accepted only from qualified General Contractors licensed by the State of Alabama. Only bids of such Contractors who are licensed by the State of Alabama prior to the date of the bid opening will be considered. A cashier's check or a bid bond payable to the City of Huntsville, Alabama, d/b/a/ Huntsville Utilities for an amount not less than 5% of the contractor's bid, but in no event more than $10,000.00, will be required to accompany each contractor's bid.
