Athens City Schools Middle School Science Classrooms Addition Athens, Tennessee The successful Bidder will also be required to execute Performance and Payment Bonds as set forth in AIA Document A701-1997, Instructions to Bidders, as modified. A Bid may not be modified, withdrawn or canceled by the Bidder for a period of sixty (60) days following the time and date designated for the receipt of Bids, and each Bidder so agrees in submitting a Bid. In compliance with Tennessee Code Annotated Section 62-6-119 and Rule 0680- 1-.24 of the Rules of the Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors, each Bidder shall provide evidence of a license with the appropriate classification and monetary limit before its Bid will be considered. On the Bid Envelope Cover Sheet, each Bidder shall legibly write or type the following information for itself and for each contractor that the Bidder proposes to perform the plumbing, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, and masonry subcontracts: the company name, as licensed, the Tennessee contractor license number, the expiration date thereof, the appropriate license classification and monetary limits. The Bid Envelope Cover Sheet must be completely and accurately filled out with all requested information. Any Bids received with blank spaces, incomplete or incorrect information on the Bid Envelope Cover Sheet may be returned to the Bidder unopened. The Bid Envelope Cover Sheet shall be firmly affixed to the outside of the Bidder's sealed opaque Bid envelope, which shall be submitted by the Bidder as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Any Bids received after the time and date designated for the receipt of Bids will be returned to the Bidder unopened. Bidders' attention is directed to Section 01 41 00, Regulatory Requirements, for all affidavits and certifications which are required to be completed and included in the Bid Envelope. The completed affidavits are required prior to entering into a contract with the Owner in accordance with Tennessee law. Athens City Schools Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all Bids that do not strictly comply with the requirements of the Bidding Documents, and reserves the right to waive any informalities and irregularities in any of the Bidding Documents submitted by a Bidder.
