Description | In general, this work consists of: Obtain all permits and notifications required for construction, including Harris County and Harris County Flood Control District, and submit to LAN prior to commencement of any work. Send notice to adjacent property owners at least 72 hours prior to starting work. Implementation, maintenance, and removal of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), and traffic control plan, and trench safety as needed. Installing 12-Inch AWWA C-900 water line and 18-inch steel casing by trenchless construction, in Post Wood Section 3 through the Harris County Flood Control right-of-way and easement, including restrained joints, bends, and fittings. Installing 8-Inch AWWA C-900 water line and 12-inch steel casing with a complete cathodic protection system, by trenchless construction, in Post Wood Section 1 through a Magellan Pipeline easement, including restrained joints, bends, and fittings. The existing 8-inch water line must be isolated and out of service prior to beginning installation of new water line. Wet Connections to existing 8-inch and 12-inch water lines and cutting, draining, and capping the existing water line. Installing two 8-Inch Gate Valves. Abandoning two existing 12-inch gate valve and boxes and installing two 12-inch gate valve and boxes and installing one 12-inch insertion valve and box. Removing and replacing the existing fire hydrant assembly including lead and 6-inch gate valve with box. The existing fire hydrant that is removed is to be salvaged and returned to Post Wood MUD. Site restoration including removing and replacing concrete sidewalks and driveways, removing and replacing concrete pavement, damaged fences, turf, plants, trees, and shrubs. |
