Description

As of October 25th, 2022, project has not been awarded yet. No timeline of award was established. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is soliciting proposals for Valley Generating Station (VGS) Units 1 to 4 (Units) Demolition (Project). The duration of the contract is expected to be five (5) years. The duration of the contract is expected to be five (5) years with the budget range of $105,000,000 to $115,000,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. LADWP's overall annual SBE and DVBE participation goals are set at 25 percent and 3 percent, respectively The demolition of VGS Units 1 to 4 shall include demolition and removal of the unit superstructures, stacks, footings, Bearing Cooling Tower Foundation, skim pond, and all associated systems, structures, and equipment located within the predefined demolition boundaries as noted in Attachment C. Three new buildings, the New Administration and Warehouse Building, New Maintenance Shops Building, and New Instrument Shop, and associated spaces and parking areas shall be provided and furnished for VGS personnel as part of this project. Option Items including demolition of 3 A/B and 4 A/B Cooling Tower Foundations, asbestos abatement, soil remediation, and utility rerouting will be exercisable at the discretion of LADWP. Areas excavated within the demolition boundary shall be backfilled and graded per LADWP-approved grading plans. The Project shall vacate the land for future reuse and potential construction of clean energy projects. 3Site Visit 10:00 A.M.
