| Description | This project involves the pedestrian crossing ADA improvements to the existing street intersections. Work associated with this project includes construction of ADA compliant curb ramps with cast-in-place detectable warning surface, modification and new construction of concrete and brick sidewalk approaches, resetting of existing utility castings, resetting and/or relocation of existing signs, partial reconstruction of pavements and new crosswalk striping. The major items in the contract include construction of 7,823 S.Y. of concrete curb ramps and installation of 1,147 S.Y. of DWS; construction of 22,514 L.F. of various curbs, 6,275 S.Y. of various sidewalks and driveways, 1,670 S.Y. of various pavements, and approximately 119,750 L.F. of striping. The contractor shall be responsible to maintain adequate pedestrian and vehicle traffic during construction and to provide and maintain soil erosion and sediment control measures at all disturbed areas. | ||||
