Description

All bid addenda will be issued on the Bernards Township website at; www.bernards.org. All respondents should check the township website from date of advertisement through bid opening date. It is the sole responsibility of the respondents to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to this project. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17-27 et seq. No oral interpretation of the meaning of the specifications will be made to any bidder. Every request for an interpretation shall be in writing, addressed to the Purchasing Agent. In order to be given consideration, written request for interpretation must be received at least ten (10) days (Saturday, Sunday and Holidays excluded) prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. Any and all such interpretations and any supplemental instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specifications, and will be distributed to all prospective bidders, in accordance with Statute. A site visit will be conducted during the Pre-bid Meeting. WORK INCLUDED A. GENERAL 1. The Contractor shall provide administrative and scheduling personnel as well as provide all the labor, superintendence, materials, construction facilities, tools and equipment necessary and required for properly performing and completing the Work as described and more particularly specified herein within the time stipulated. The Contractor shall furnish, erect, maintain and remove the construction facilities and such temporary works as may be required. These requirements include, but are not limited to, suitable quarters for workers where necessary, including temporary sanitary facilities, electric power supply, heat and light for the workers as well as for construction purposes. Existing access roads to the site may be affected by construction activities on the site. The Contractor will be required to keep these roads in a safe condition and suitable for the public use. The Contractor shall furnish all material, equipment and labor necessary to complete the work in accordance with the terms of this Contract and the requirements thereunder, including all General and Technical Specifications hereinafter outlined. 2. The construction schedule shall be presented at the preconstruction meeting, and shall be coordinated with the Owner, and the Resident Engineer. Unless otherwise directed, regularly scheduled job meetings shall occur every other week during the full contract period and more frequently as may be necessary. 3. This Contract includes all labor, materials, and equipment as required at the prices bid in the Proposal for the Replacement of Plant Header Piping, as specified in the Contract Documents
