Description | The scope of work for this project consists of the fabrication and installation of a pump station, inclusive of controls, communication, and power. Along with related site work including but not limited to clearing, approximately 2250 LF of force main and 1680 LF of gravity sewer to service a localized section of homes along Boyer Avenue. Bids must be on the official Bid Form which can be obtained from the Engineer, at the offices of ARH Associates, 215 Bellevue Avenue, Hammonton, NJ 08037 and accompanied by a Consent of Surety, a Non-Collusion Affidavit, other documents required pursuant to the specifications, and a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the amount bid but not in excess of $20,000.00, and be delivered at the place on or before the hour named above. Each Bid must state the name and address of person, firm and corporation interested in the same as a principal. Those Bids which are mailed to the contracting unit shall be sealed, properly marked and shall only be opened for examination at such time and place as all Bids received are unsealed and announced. The Mayor, Town Council and its Solicitor (hereinafter referred to as Owner) will be the sole discretionary body for consideration or rejection of the Bids. Withdrawal of Bids: Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of Bids or any authorized postponement thereof. Bids received after time and date designated shall not be considered. The provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 shall be adhered to on this project. Affirmative Action Regulations: Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c.127 (NJAC 17:27). Contract Completion: Construction shall commence at the project site within fourteen (14) calendar days after the date to be specified in the written 'Notice to Proceed' by the Engineer and shall be completed within 120 calendar days from the date the written 'Notice to Proceed' is given, unless otherwise agreed to. Prevailing Wage Requirements: The provisions of the Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. Public Works Contractor Registration Act: The provisions of the New Jersey Public Works Contractor Registration Act are requirements of this project. Business Registration Certificate: The provisions of the New Jersey Business Registration Requirements shall be adhered to on this project. |
