Courthouse/Post Office Roof Replacement

The Town is seeking a qualified construction contractor to replace the roof, make repairs to the exterior of the building, and repair the cupola at the Courthouse/Post Office. Remove existing membrane, insulation, flashing, and edge metal down to the existing wood deck. Trim existing copper counterflashing to remain as shown on the detail drawings. Materials removed shall be legally and properly disposed of off-site. Perform a minimum of 5 fastener pull tests on each Roof Area prior to beginning of construction. The existing roof systems consist of the following: Roof Area A (Approximately 6,950 SF) Modified bitumen - 2-ply Wood fiberboard insulation - Approximately 1/2" Polyisocyanurate insulation - Approximately 3" Base sheet Wood deck Roof Area B (Approximately 1,000 SF) Modified bitumen - 2-ply Wood fiberboard - Approximately 1/2" Polyisocyanurate insulation - Approximately 1-1/2" Base sheet Wood deck Roof Area C (Approximately 1,170 SF) Modified bitumen - 2-ply Wood deck
