Sam Yellen Park Phase II

**As of February 17, 2023, project was awarded to R.C. BECKER AND SON, INC, awarded amount is $17,530,162.72.** **As of February 3 ,2023 , this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded to City Council on the February 15 agenda.** Site improvements include a new 3,320 SF community recreation center, new prefabricated restroom building, new pedestrian walkways, turf areas, playground areas, fitness stations, and futsal courts. Project scope includes connection to existing utilities, a new water service, site drainage improvements including a detention basin, and a new park entrance and parking lot accessible from Hillside Drive. Project scope also includes planting and irrigation improvements to a portion of the existing Phase 1 site. Total 9.3 acres. The work may consist of but is not limited to: Development of Phase 2 of the existing Sam Yellen Park Site, located in the City of Palmdale adjacent to the intersection of Avenue S and Hillcrest Drive. Site improvements include a new community recreation center, new prefabricated restroom building, new pedestrian walkways, turf areas, playground areas, fitness stations, and futsal courts. Project scope includes connection to existing utilities, a new water service, site drainage improvements including a detention basin, and a new park entrance and parking lot accessible from Hillside Drive. Project scope also includes planting and irrigation improvements to a portion of the existing Phase 1 site.
