West Third Street Project

The project includes the overlay and reconstruction of pavement, removal and replacement of existing curb & gutter and sidewalk and installation of new sidewalk. Concrete work will also include partial removal and construction of new driveway segments as necessary, and construction or replacement of curb & gutter at specified intersections Storm drainage improvements will be installed, including HDPE pipe and "sock drain", associated drainage structures, and grass swales within the entire project area. An existing 8" asbestos-cement water main will be replaced with 8” and 6” PVC and ductile iron pipe, including fittings, valves, fire hydrant assemblies, tie-ins of side street mains and transfer of all water services from the old main to the new. All areas shall include incidental clearing, pavement cuts/patch, reseeding and restoration, etc. As a general indication to prospective bidders of the size of the project, the following approximate total lengths of pavement overlay/reconstruction is 3,525 linear feet.
