Description | The MDOT SHA hereby notifies all bidders that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority/ disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, sexual identity, genetic information or disability in consideration for an award. Minority/ Disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. It is the goal of MDOT SHA that Disadvantaged and/or Minority Business Enterprises participate in all Federal Aid and State contracts, as applicable. Each contract will contain a specific participation goal. County: Frederick Classification: E ($1,000,001 to $2,500,000) Funding: Federal F.A.P. Number: AC-STBG-000B(686)E This project, located in Frederick County, is for upgrades of sidewalk and ramps to be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The work is to provide ADA sidewalks at various locations as shown in the Contract Documents. The work will consist of the following: (a)Construction of curb and gutter, sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, and driveways, (b) Resurfacing of shared use path, (c) Full depth pavement patches, (d) Adjustment of existing inlet top slabs, (e) Pipe installation underneath sidewalk, (f) Drainage ditch grading, (g) Maintenance of traffic, (h) Erosion and sediment control, (i) Pavement marking, (j) Landscaping, (k) Incidental labor, material, and work to accomplish aforementioned items of work Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
