Sludge Dewatering, Hauling, Land Application and Disposal

Work covered by the proposal and specifications includes, but is not limited to: dewatering, loading, transportation, land application, and disposal of liquid or caked sludge generated from the Salem Wastewater Treatment Plant or the Salem Water Treatment Plant as described to the Contractor's approved Ohio sites for land application or to approved disposal sites approved by both Contractor and the Salem Utilities Department. All work shall be performed in accordance with procedures, laws and regulations established by the Salem Utilities Department, City of Salem, Ohio, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OEPA), local health departments and the receiving sites. Bidder shall follow the instructions as found in "The Bidding Information to Bidders SPECIFICATION for Sludge Hauling". The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable. A. Dewatering and land application or landfilling of wastewater and water treatment sludge. B. Transfer and land application or landfilling of wastewater and water treatment sludge. C. Transfer and disposal of liquid digested wastewater and water treatment sludge.
