Reference Number 0000336857 ITB: No- #ITB-WW-23-04 The City of Brighton, Michigan desires to employ the services of a contractor, or contractors, to rehabilitate three sanitary sewer lift stations located in the Pine Creek Ridge Subdivision. Work will vary depending on each lift station's needs. The Base Bid consists of the refurbishment of the Hidden Pines (Pine Creek #1) and Arbor Bay (Pine Creek #2) lift stations with the Wyndam (Pine Creek #3) lift station submitted as an alternate bid. Question Acceptance Deadline 01/11/2024 04:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online Yes -- All questions must be submitted via email (brooksc@brightoncity.org) General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % * Hidden Pines (Pine Creek #1) Installation of two (2) new pumps. Installation of two (2) new 5HP electric motors. Installation of two (2) new motor/pump couplings. Replace pump suction and discharge valves (4 total) Replace pump check valves (2 total) Replace all pressure gauges and their related pipe and valves. Install two (2) new motor starters/contactors. Replace main breakers on 2 pump motors. Replace 120v breakers. Replace all control relays and phase monitors in control panel. Replace alternator in control panel. Replace HOA switches. Replace current level control system with a level transducer. Add redundant high level and low level floats in the wet well. Replace mechanical seal water system. If new seal system requires the use of air compressors like the current system, remove existing air compressors, and install new unit(s), otherwise remove existing air compressors and related equipment. Replace proximity sensors on two check valves. Remove air driven discharge valve and replace it with pipe. Replace ventilation fan and motor. Replace dehumidifier. Replace general purpose wall mounted transformer in dry pit. Replace manual transfer switch and circuit breaker. Once work is complete the contractor will test pumps to ensure proper operation. Check voltage and amperage readings. Adjust level controls and ensure the system is working properly. Clean and prep metal pipework for recoating/repainting. Coatings shall be a two-component epoxy coating and shall meet or exceed original coating specifications. Clean and prep floor and walls of the station for recoating/repainting. Coatings shall be a two-component epoxy coating and shall meet or exceed original coating specifications. Sandblasting/grinding may be required on areas with heavy corrosion. This will be determined by City staff. * Arbor Bay (Pine Creek #2) Installation of two (2) new pumps. Installation of two (2) new 5HP electric motors. Installation of two (2) new motor/pump couplings. Replace pump suction and discharge valves (4 total) Replace pump check valves (2 total) Replace all pressure gauges and their related pipe and valves. Install two (2) new motor starters/contactors. Once work is complete the contractor will test pumps to ensure proper operation. Check voltage and amperage readings. Adjust level controls and ensure the system is working properly. Replace all control relays and phase monitors in control panel. Replace alternator in control panel. Install new ventilation fan and motor. Install two new air compressors for level control system. Replace manual transfer switch and circuit breaker. Once work is complete the contractor will test pumps to ensure they are operating properly Check voltage and amperage readings. Clean and prep pumps and metal pipework for recoating/repainting. Coatings shall be a two-component epoxy coating and shall meet or exceed original coating specifications.
