1.2.The Area 1, 2, 3 (see Appendix 1) of Operations Floor in the *REDACTED* requires (28) fixed height console positions and all associated design, project management and installation services for a complete project. The differentiation between area console types is outlined below. Console furniture should be constructed to allow heat from equipment to vent without the use of exhaust fan kits. Consoles should properly bear weight of 75lbs without buckling. Particleboard clad with laminate is not acceptable. Consoles shall have a 7” wide x 42”H structural technology wall that will be used for electrical and communications cabling distribution. Multiple networks will be used at each position and consoles must provide a minimum of three (3) distinct, continuous, horizontal cable distribution zones. One zone shall be accessible via removal top caps. In one of the three zones, electrical and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router (NIPR) cables can be collocated and the other two will be utilized for classified networks. Consoles shall have a continuous slatwall at the back of work-surface that allows for monitor and accessory mounting. At base of the slatwall, a continuous wire management trough shall be provided, including surge protectors for desktop level equipment and monitors to plug in. Removable flipper door access panels shall be provided with an upper gap/reveal for monitor cables and a lower gap/reveal for desktop equipment cables to feed back into the structural wall.
