Description

As of June 1, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The work to be done consists of furnishing all labor, materials, necessary tools and machinery, supervision and coordination, traffic control, and all utility and transportation services required for the reconstruction of access ramps, spandrels, local pavement repairs, slurry seal, pavement resurfacing, striping, permanent camera detector installations, and other related improvements on the streets as included in the Plans and listed in the Bid Schedule. The bidder is solely responsible for on time submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an ebid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that the bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids. Bidders experiencing any technical difficulties with the bid submission process may contact website at (818) 992-1771. Neither the City, nor website, makes any guarantee as to the timely availability of assistance, or assurance that any given problem will be resolved by the bid submission deadline. The Contractor shall notify and coordinate its operation and work schedule with all affected residents, businesses, and schools continuously during the construction to avoid conflicts with any school, public and private activities. Full compensation for compliance with these requirements shall be considered as being included in the various contract items in the bid schedule and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore.
