Description | **As of September 11 2023, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** Contractors are invited to submit SEALED BIDS for the bidding of the Neshaminy High School Stadium Field House for the Neshaminy School District. Bids Are Invited on a Lump Sum Basis for the Following Contracts: Contract No. 1 General Trades Construction Contract No. 2 Site Construction Contract No. 3 Food Service Construction Contract No. 4 Plumbing Construction Contract No. 5HVAC Construction(ESSER Funded) Contract No. 6 Electrical Construction Submit all questions about the Drawings and Project Manual to Tony Clifford at tclifford@spiezle.com. Replies will be issued to all Bidders of record as Addenda to the Drawings and Specifications and will become part of the Contract. If any item of Work is shown on the Drawings and not specified or mentioned in the Specifications and not shown on the Drawings, the matter should be brought to the attention of the Architect during bidding so an addendum can be issued correcting the omission. If such correction is not made, the Work in question shall be considered to be required as if it had been specified and shown on the Drawings. The Architect and Construction Manager WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ORAL CLARIFICATION. Questions received less then four (4) working days before the bid opening cannot be answered. Note: It is the total responsibility of the Contractor to return bids to the Neshaminy School District by the required date and time. Bids must be submitted on the form and in the manner provided in the Contract Documents; Bids submitted otherwise will not be considered. This Project is subject to Pennsylvania's Prevailing Wage Act, Except for the HVAC contract which will be funded with ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) Funds and must abide by the Davis Bacon Act Wage requirements. Bidders proposals must be accompanied by a certified check, certified bank treasurers check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in the form included with the bidding documents. A satisfactory corporate surety shall provide security in an amount equal to 10% of the base bid together with the aggregate sum of all additive alternates. The surety shall name as payee or obligee the Neshaminy School District. Notice is hereby given that the Neshaminy High School Stadium Field House for which construction proposals are being solicited hereby is a construction project constructed by a public entity constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates and other applicable Acts. All proposals shall be irrevocable for sixty (60) days after bid opening date, unless delayed due to required approvals of another governmental agency, sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which case bids shall be irrevocable for one hundred twenty (120) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities, defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, or irregularities in proposals, to reject any or all proposals or parts thereof and to make awards as may be deemed in its best interest. Bidders will not be entitled to review any Contract Documents at the Neshaminy School District Offices. Each bidder to whom Contracts have been awarded shall furnish and deliver within ten (10) days after issuance of written Letter of Intent or date of Notice of Award, a Performance and a Payment Bond in the form as bound herewith. The Performance and Payment Bonds shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract amount. The surety on the Performance and Payment Bonds shall be a surety company and having a bond rating that are both satisfactory to the Owner and authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The bonds shall comply with the requirements of Pennsylvania law, and shall be in a form acceptable to the Owners Attorney. The Performance Bond and Payment Bonds shall be maintained in full force and effect until the Owner is satisfied that all unpaid claims against the bidder have been resolved.
