2022 Bituminous Paving

As of August 22, 2022, project is cancelled. Project is no longer needed. For the following: 2022 Bituminous Paving on various streets in the Borough of Jim Thorpe, Carbon County 637 Tons +/- of 9.5mm Leveling Course, 90 lb/sy 1,280 Tons +/- of 9.5mm Wearing Course, 180 lb/sy All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards, bidders need to be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be on forms provided by the Borough. All Bids shall be clearly marked "2022 Bituminous Paving". This is not a mandatory meeting however this is the only field view to be conducted by the Municipality and only questions presented at this meeting will be addressed prior to award unless the Municipality feels additional items or explanations need to be presented. After the pre-bid meeting these will be in the form of a written notice to all bidders. For further information contact Maureen Sterner at 570-325-3025, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. PA Prevailing Wages Apply to the "2022 Bituminous Paving" Contract. All bids will be opened and read publicly at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at the Borough Hall and pending review, awarded at the Thursday, July 14, 2022 regularly scheduled Council Meeting at approximately 6:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the agenda allows. The Borough Council of Jim Thorpe reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, and to delete projects and or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints and also to waive any technicalities deemed to be in the best interested of the Borough.
