Bexar County Fitness Center Shower Renovation

Questions Due: Friday, December 2, 2022 @10:00am Scope of Work will include the following elements: Demolition: The demolition of (2) existing ADA shower pans, one in the men's bathroom and the other in the women's bathroom. The demolition of the shower pans will require the removal of the 1st course of ceramic tiles in the shower stall and the removal of the tile wall base approximately 4' 7" from the back wall of the shower stall in order to accommodate for the modification of the shower floor. The vendor should make every effort to salvage the tiles that are removed for reinstallation once the floor is modified. The vendor will also be required to remove 2" of concrete under the existing shower pan. New Construction: The new construction scope of work will include the modification of (2) shower stalls, one in the men's bathroom and the other in the women's bathroom, in order to meet ADA requirements by providing a 1/4" per foot slope from the center of the drain to the high point of the slope. (approximately 2'4" from center of drain). Provide a layer of ardex self-leveling underlayment in order to provide appropriate sloped base for new tile to be installed. Vendor shall provide new ceramic tile to match existing finishes and reinstall all tile in the work areas. The scope will also include the installation of a 2" x 4" curb on the (2) regular shower stalls including ceramic tile to match existing finishes. Walls will need to be painted once all work is completed to match surrounding finishes.
