Description

The City of Bowling Green was heavily impacted by multiple tornados on and about December 11, 2021. This event resulted in a federally declared disaster 4630-DR-KY. The City initially contracted with Tetra Tech Inc. for Disaster Debris Monitoring and with CrowderGulf LLC for Disaster Debris Collection and Disposal. As the initial emergency wanes, the City now is issuing this Request for Proposals for Debris Monitoring Services. The selected firm will work amicably with the City’s existing contractors to transition between their work and the work described herein. The selected firm must have a project manager in the City within 24 hours of Notice-to-Proceed and be ready to begin operations within 72 hours of same. This contract will extend for 90 calendar days from the notice to proceed, days lost for inclement weather will be added to the end of the contract at the discretion of the City. The contract may be extended up to an additional three months at the request of the City if agreeable to the contractors. The selected firm shall provide the following services to the City on an as-needed basis: The consultant will be expected to provide monitoring services according to FEMA eligibility standards for disaster debris removal and disposal. This debris may be generated from the public rights-of-way, drainage areas, and other public, eligible, or designated areas.
