Description

Development of Innovation Hills park including parking lot, trails and boardwalks, improvements to the wetlands, invasive vegetation control, fitness stations, restrooms, playgrounds, water features & ponds, pavilion(s), sensory garden, observation areas, support structures, bridges across Clinton River, community gathering areas, & community building. Private donations and grant funding will be pursued to offset overall project costs. Construction began in 2014. Over $1,000,000 in grants and private funding has been raised over the last year. Construction plans are currently under way for trail system, invasive vegetation control, two boardwalks, restroom, kayak landing, parking lot, water features & ponds, playground entrance, & sensory garden. This project is in included in the City of Rochester Hills FY 2023 - 2028 CIP. As of January 17, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
