East Aztec Arterial Phase 2 - New Mexico Department of Finance and Administration

To complete construction of the East Aztec Arterial Route. Phase 2 will consist of construction (incl testing & const management) of 1.8 miles of paved roadway, pedestrian trail and waterline installation in 2019 and 2020. Project also includes animal grazing and wildlife protection (fencing and cattleguards) of arterial route from NM173 to US550 as per BLM requirements and additional paving required by NMDOT with the connection of the new construction with existing roadway on north termini. Design, right of way, environmental, construction of north connection with NM173 and south connection with US550, and installation of water and wastewater lines on south connection have been completed with a combination of local, capital outlay, NMDOT and FHWA funds. Competitive bid process will be utilized for the construction of phase II. A RFP will be issued to procure construction management services. Project is included City of Aztec 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan As of January 18, 2023 an architect has been selected, construction timeline is estimated for FY2024
