Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling Services

The contractor is to furnish workforce and motor vehicles for the collection and disposal of solid waste as defined by N.J.S.A. 13:1E-3 and municipal waste ID Type 10. Proposal prices will include all fees and surcharges. All containers are with casters The Board has included in the bid specification the following pickup schedules: • Contract #1 Summer Schedule—July 1, 2023-August 18, 2023 • Contract #2 Regular School Year—August 21, 2023-June 30, 2024 • Contract #1 Summer Schedule For approximately 6 weeks starting July 1 each year, several buildings will experience minimal usage andrequire a reduced number of weekly pickups for trash and single-stream recycling. Those buildings and reduced pickups will be identified on or about June 15th of each additional contract year to allow the vendor’s pickup schedule and billing to be adjusted accordingly. Contract #2 Regular School Year All pickups during the Regular School Year must take place between the times of 7:00 a.m. through 11:00 a.m. It is imperative that the contractor strictly adheres to the pickup schedule. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier’s check or certified check made payable to the South Brunswick Board of Education, for ten percent (10%) of the amount of the total bid, however, not to exceed $20,000.00.
