Description

Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Sikeston, Missouri. Completed plans call for the addition of a 800-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility. Sikeston High School Welding Shop Addition 4.27.22 at 5:00 pm Final Deadline to Submit Questions 5.3.22 at 5:00 pm Final Addendum Deadline 5.6.22 at 2:00 pm Deadline to Submit Supplementary Information All bids shall be submitted only on the Bid Form (Section 00 41 13). Reference Section 00 50 00 for additional contracting forms to be included in the Bid Envelope. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or draft certified or issued by a state or national bank in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid payable to Sikeston R-6 School District, or in lieu thereof, the bidder may furnish a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Such bond shall be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Missouri, and made payable to Sikeston R-6 School District as a guarantee that such Bidder will enter into a Contract with Sikeston R-6 School District for the Work described in the Construction Documents and furnish a payment & performance bond (if accepted) as specified. Each bidder shall include, as a separate item on their bid form, the cost for them to provide a Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. All Bidders are subject to and must comply with applicable state and federal anti-discrimination laws. All Contractors and Subcontractors shall conform to the most current State of Missouri, Division of Labor Standards, Section 104, New Madrid County & Scott County, Wage Order No. 28 in accordance with Section 290.262 RSMo (2000). The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Bids will be reviewed by the school district and their consultants following the reading of bids. Bid Forms must be properly filled out and submitted on or before the deadline stated above. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of the Board of Education, for a period of sixty (60) days after the schedule time of closing bids. In the event the Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded fails to execute a satisfactory Contract and Bond, he shall be eliminated and shall forfeit his certified check, cash or his Bid bond and shall be liable for the loss occasioned by the owner by such failure. The Project is briefly described as follows: Construction of a one-story addition, 800 SF building that is primarily constructed with 8" concrete block and brick veneer with a white fully adhered TPO roof membrane
