Description | The project consists of construction of concrete street improvements on Dr. Martin Luther King (MLK) Drive, between Second Avenue and north of Hearn Avenue (concrete pavement section), in the City of Shelby, Mississippi. This includes furnishing all materials, equipment, labor required for demolition, removal of existing pavements, excavation, fill, compaction, base course, new pavements, and all incidentals as indicated on the Contract Drawings. Bids may be submitted in person, by mail or electronically. For delivery in person or by mail, the Bid must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and plainly marked on the outside of the envelope with the following: Bid for the City of Shelby, Mississippi, 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King, Drive, Jr. Drive Improvement Project, Contract One - Concrete Pavement, to be opened at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022, and addressed to the City of Shelby, MS, 305 East Third Street, Shelby, MS 38774. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company Name, Company Address, and the Bidder's Mississippi State Contractor's License number. The Owner and Engineer assume no responsibility for premature opening of any bid envelope which is not properly marked. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of the maximum total bid amount is required. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 calendar days after the actual date of opening. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any and all bids. |
