Crushing

The work shall consist of the on-site crushing of mixed stone materials to desired gradation as specified below. It is the responsibility of each Contractor submitting proposals for the work to assure himself that the equipment methods he intends to use are capable of complying with the intent of these specifications. It is paramount that the Contractor demonstrates to the County the ability of his crew(s) and equipment to comply with the material gradation requirements. The bidder shall be responsible for the loading of materials into crushing equipment, crushing, and – if necessary – screening of crushed materials to meet the desired gradation as specified below.
