HSC Ground Floor Asbestos Abatement

Approximate 2,720gsf of space, located in HSC North Building, 2nd floor. Once renovated, the space will accommodate 2,136sf - classlab and an additional 408sf - Storage room. Construction Highlights include and limited to: Project Boundary: Rooms included - 2052, 2062, 2063, 2064 & 2064A. Rooms Excluded - 2050. Demolition: Removal of 1,107sf of interior wall, 1964sf of suspended and plaster ceiling 2,610sf of flooring. 179 linear feet of casework and a 710sf Thermax refrigeration unit. 7 electrical panels/box, 14 electrical & data outlets and 69 light fixtures. Construction: Lamination of 1,472sf & creation of 414sf of interior wall, installation of 5 doors. Installation of 2,720sf of both suspended ceiling & vct flooring and 288 linear feet of covebase per WVU HSC Standards. Fire Protection: Updating Fire Prevention and Signaling devices to code per McHenry Assoc. recommendations. HVAC: Updating HVAC systems per McHenry Assoc. recommendations. Electrical & Date: Install 1 distribution panel, 49 Electrical, 18 data and 57 LED light fixtures to be added. Additional IT Switch to be incorporated into local telecommunications closet. FFE: Finishes are to reflect HSC Standards. 62 linear feet of repurposed casework w/new epoxy countertops. 40 workstations, 50 lab stools and 3 additional biosafety cabinets. 2-80" monitors, 4-96" white boards and 1 advanced technology instructor's station. HSC administration is responsible for room signage and floor/area wayfinding.
