Description | This project will restore reef spawning habitat at a priority restoration site known as the Coreyon Reef. The Coreyon Reef is located approximately 8.5 miles west of Fish Point or about 10 miles north of Quanicassee, as shown on the project drawings. The EGLE-RRD’s goals for this pilot project are: 1) to create additional spawning habitat, 2) to help facilitate a resilient and diverse fish population, and 3) to serve as a demonstration project which can be evaluated and used to help inform future reef restoration throughout the Great Lakes. |
