Renovations, Modifications and Additions for Henry County Schools - Austin Road Middle School and Stockbridge Middle School

The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Austin Road Middle School: a. Football Field: 1) Construct new drive and walkway down to a new parking area located adjacent to football field. 2) Remove bleachers and wood-framed scoring platform. Construct new concrete risers with aluminum bleacher seat and new concrete scoring platform with aluminum canopy. 3) Extend power for score board controls and PA system to new scoring platform. b. Softball Field: 1) Remove bleachers and wood-framed scoring platform. Install new aluminum bleachers and new concrete scoring platform with aluminum canopy. 2) Extend power for score board controls and PA system to new scoring platform. 3) Install new concrete paving around scoring and bleacher areas. 2. Stockbridge Middle School: a. Football Field: 1) Construct new concrete pad and small modular retaining wall for new set of aluminum bleachers on visitor's side of field. 2) Remove bleachers and wood-framed scoring platform. Saw-cut and remove a portion of existing concrete pad to install new concrete scoring platform and new aluminum bleachers on existing concrete pad on home side of field. 3) Extend power for score board controls and PA system to new scoring platform. 4) Prepare, re-seal and re-stripe existing track located around football field. Refer to Alternates for this scope of work. b. Softball Field: 1) Remove bleachers and wood-framed scoring platform. Saw-cut and remove a portion of existing concrete pad to install new concrete scoring platform and new aluminum bleachers on existing concrete pad. 2) Extend power for score board controls and PA system to new scoring platform. Only a bid submitted by a Bidder on record with the Architect as having received plans and specifications from the Architect will be opened. Contract, if awarded, will be on a lump sum basis. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after time has been called on date of opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than 5% of the Base Bid. Both a Performance and a Payment Bond will be required in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities.

Division 32 -	Exterior Improvements, Operation and Maintenance of Exterior Improvements, Bases, Ballasts, and Paving, Flexible Paving, Asphalt Paving, Rigid Paving, Concrete Paving, Curbs, Gutters, Sidewalks, and Driveways, Athletic and Recreational Surfacing, Site Improvements, Fences and Gates, Planting.
