RFP Construction Manager - University of Utah - Interdisciplinary Computing Building

This Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) project includes: Construction of the new Interdisciplinary Computing Building at the University of Utah, housing the School of Computing and Health Informatics. This high-priority project is a response to the strong demand for tech jobs in Utah and the enrollment growth in higher education computing. The "Base Building" is 209,000 square feet. Preconstruction will be required to address both the "Base Building" as well as "Additional Space Considerations", including a Department of Defense Data Center (SCIF), a shelled building floor for additional growth, and underground parking. The Contractor for the project must be a Utah licensed General Contractor. Association with other individuals or firms having appropriate professional expertise is acceptable. The State will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Fixed Contract Price Limit, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on an AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond form, or equivalent, shall accompany the Contractor's Cost Proposal. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
