Description | This project is for the construction of a new 60-foot by 40-foot New England style pre-engineered Salt Storage Shed(as manufactured by Bulk Storage Inc., or approved equal), including incidental site work for the proposed Salt Storage Borough of Bloomingdale DPW Yard located at 188 Union Avenue in Bloomingdale. Incidental work associated with includes but is not limited to: clearing of the existing site; remove of uncontrolled fill and replacement with controlled fill(QP) in the area of the footings; removal and replacement of existing asphalt pavement; installation gutters and downspouts installation of storm 6" PVC Sch. 40 drainage pipe; installation of catch basins; construction retaining wall along with regrading of the site around the proposed Salt Shed; new underground electrical service along with interior and exterior lighting, receptacles, ventilation fan, powered vinyl door mesh; and temporary and permanent erosion control and stabilization. An add alternate for a 24-foot by 60-foot lean-to structure is also included. No bids will be accepted after the date and time designated to receive bids. The Borough of Bloomingdale is not responsible for any idmailedor hand delivered which is lost in transit or delivered late. A bid may be withdrawn prior tothetimeforopeningofbids or authorized postponement thereof upon written application of the Bidder who shall be required to produce evidence showing that individual is or represents the principal or principals involved in bid. Nobis Maybe Withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after bids have been opened. If the Contract is awarded, no refunds will be given. If for any reason the Contract is not awarded, refundswillimmediately be returned to bidders pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-24(b) when the Contract documentsarereturnedinreasonable condition within 90 days of notice that the Contract has not been awarded. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, deviations or omissionsinanyorall bids, and to accept such bids and make awards as may be most advantageous to the Borough. All bids must conform to the models and directions contained in the Specifications. Bids must bemadeontheincluded standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications, andmustbe submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project identification and the nameandaddressoftheBidder. Bids may be submitted by certified mail, return receipt requested, regular mail or handdelivery.Bidsshall be submitted to the Office of the Municipal Clerk located at 101 Hamburg Turnpike, Bloomingdale,NJ07403. The Bidder shall submit only one (1) bid that meets or exceeds the minimumspecificationsherewith. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Guarantee in an amount of the lesser of ten percent (10%) of thetotal bidpriceorTwenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00), in the form of a certified check or cashier's check payabletotheBoroughora Bid Bond issued by a Surety authorized to transact business in New Jersey and found acceptablebytheBorough.Each bid must also be accompanied by the consent of a similarly acceptable Surety, guaranteeingaonehundredpercent(100%) Performance Bond and a one hundred percent (100%) Labor and Material Payment Bondwill befurnishedupon award of the Contract. Bidders are required to comply with the Equal Employment Opportunity Requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31etseq.andthe Affirmative Action Requirements of N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders are also required to complywithChapter150ofP.L.1963 and the prevailing wage regulations promulgated thereunder. Estimated Budget: $425,000 to $475,000 |
