Description

C Street Sewer System Improvements Project according to the Drawings and Project Manual and accepted by the Owner and described in general as: 1) Furnish and install 16 sanitary sewer manholes. 2) Abandon in-place and install bypass piping in 17 septic tanks. 3) Abandon in-place one septic tank. 4) Install approximately 2,500 feet of sanitary sewer line using a combination of open-cut and pipe bursting methods. 5) Reconnect existing laterals where installing new mainline. 6) Construct one new 4-inch sewer lateral. 7) Septic tank pumping and other required bypassing pumping as required to maintain sewer service during construction. Prospective bidders shall enclose with each Bid a surety bond, cashier's check or certified check of the Bidder, made payable to the City of Columbia City, for five percent (5%) of the Bid as Bid Security. The bid bond/check shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract, if it be awarded, in conformance with the Contract Documents and shall provide the surety and bonds as specified herein within fifteen (15) days after notification of award of contract to the bidder.
