Description

A cashier's check, a certified check or a Bid Bond, payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Glasford, Illinois, in an amount equal five percent (5%), as a proposal guarantee, shall accompany each such bid. Bids may be held for a period of up to sixty (60) days prior to making an award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Contract Bond to the Village of Glasford in an amount equal to his contract price. In accordance with 820/ILCS 130/3 and 130/5, this contract is subject to all of the requirements of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, is subject to the payment of prevailing wages and the Contractor and Subcontractors are required to submit monthly certified payroll records. In accordance with Public Act 96-0635, effective 1/1/08, all Contractors and Subcontractors, performing any contractual public work subject to the Prevailing Wage Act, shall have in place a written Substance Abuse Prevention Program filed with the public body engaged in public works. The successful contractor shall file the Substance Abuse Prevention Program (s), with the Village of Glasford, prior to award of the Contract. The Board of Trustees of the Village of Glasford reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities in any or all bids.
