Description

This project involves demolition of an existing pump station, including but not limited to: site clearing and preparation; existing pump station demolition and removal; installation, maintenance and removal of erosion and sedimentation control measures; site restoration; existing utility protection and coordination; and all associated traffic control, resident notifications, and appurtenances required per the Contract Documents, complete in place. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workers' Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement Bids to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Township of Upper St. Clair in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the total amount of the Bid as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any technicality or formality therein. All Bidders must be pre-qualified by the Township of Upper St. Clair prior to receiving a copy of the Contract Documents. Bidders are advised that the Township expressly reserves the right to reject all bids, and specifically reserves the right to award to the lowest pre-qualified, responsive, and responsible bidder a contract for all or any portions of the work listed in the proposal, and in awarding a contract for less than the total work listed, or less than all portions of the work listed, the contract price will be determined from the total quantities for each item listed and the unit price bid for each item listed.
