Streamwood High School Painting Project Phase Three

The scope of this project is to paint all of the 1st floor hallways, lockers, locker rooms, ceilings paintable surfaces including locker rooms, main kitchen and bathrooms. All of the base cove will be removed by the environmental project which is separate of this project. New base cove will need to be installed as part of this project where the old was removed by others not part of this project. Some of the base cove will need to be tied into adjacent locations to tie in this project. You will be responsible for keeping the areas clean along with removing all trash from this project. The hallways and bathrooms will all be painted Origami White (2 coats). All the steel doors and frames will need to be sanded prior to the finish coats. The steel doors and all the door frames will all need to be painted black (2 coats). The hallway lockers will be electrostatically painted Dover Grey, the doors, inside edges of doors, frame and inside edge of the frame shall be painted Dover Grey. All viewable surfaces from the exterior of the locker door needs to be Dover Grey when closed. All the wood doors will need to be cleaned prior to repairs. All chipped areas stained to match the existing wood door color and sealed with a clear sealer (2 coats). All the cinderblock walls need to primed with a block filling primer and all control joints need to be chalked. The hallways, bathrooms and the steel doors will all have the current paint removed by a separate contractor which is not part of this project. All doors which are removed for painting need to be reinstalled upon completion. The elevator door and frame shall be painted Black Magic. All counts of doors and lockers need to be field verified by contractor. The entire drop ceiling grid needs to be painted in the hallways on 1st-floor MOPAKO flat white, new drop ceiling tile has been placed and will need to be removed and then put back into place. There may be different shades of paint to be used in the Kitchen and serving areas more information will be available at the mandatory walk through.
