Description | For the new Concession/ Re-stroom Building at North Park in Prineville Alabama, new Concession/Re-stroom at South Park in FalkviIle, Alabama, and the new Mor- Bgan County Jail Maintenance building in Decatur, Alabama A cashies check or bid bond payable to the Morgan County Commission in an amount no less than five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but in no event more than $10.000, must accompany the bidders proposal 100% Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance required in the bid doc-uments will be required at the signing of the Contract. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that es-tablished by the State L.irrs-ing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34: Chapter 8, Code of Ala-bama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or bid wit not be re-ceived or considered by the Architect. The bidder shall show such evidence by clearly displaying his or her current license number on the outside of the sealed en-velope in which the proposal is delivered. The Owner re-serves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive technical errors if, in the Owners judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted_ Nonresident bidders must ac-company any w ritten bid doc-uments with a written opinion of an attorney at law licensed to practice law In such non-resident bidder's state of domicile, as to the prefer-ences, if any or none, granted by the law of that state to its own business en-titles whose principal places of business are in that state in the letting of any or all pub-lic contracts_ Notice of Sales & Use Tax Exemption: Materials incor-porated into the Work are ex-empt from sales and use tax pursuant to Alabama Act No. 2013-205 (effective January. 1, 2014). General Contrac-tors and subcontractors interested in bidding are advised to contact the Sales, Use, & Business Tax Division of the Alabama Department of Rev-enue for information regard. ing required qualifications for exemption. |
