Stennis Space Center Zone 8 Modifications

MACC Task Order: Upgrades to interior materials, components, equipment, and systems. The upgrades are intended to bring the subject areas of the building into compliance. Construction required to maintain the integrity of the existing walls in Zone B. Construct 2 additions to the building: Electrical Shelter B and Central Equipment Plant. These additions will be constructed of concrete floors, structural steel framing, and steel roof structure. The additions will be connected to the existing structure utilizing new concrete sidewalks and new steel canopy structures. The interior of Zone B will be modified. A new raised floor and ceiling system will be provided along with complete electrical and mechanical upgrades. All existing electrical and mechanical systems (including conduit and piping) that will not remain in service are to be removed. The following building systems will be replaced: lighting, fire protection fire alarm, communications, lightning protection. New chilled water 18" headers (dual) will be provided from the chiller plant enclosure to tie into the chilled water distribution headers in B9323.
