Runway 16/34 Reconstruction Project

FAA AIP PROJECT NO. 3-27-0032-016-2023 Site Directions: Fosston Municipal Airport: 0.5 Miles west of the City of Fosston off U.S. Highway 2. Information presented at the pre-bid conference does not alter the Contract Documents. Owner will issue Addenda to make any changes to the Contract Documents that results from discussions at the pre-bid conference. Information presented, and statements made at the pre-bid conference will not be binding or legally effective unless incorporated into an Addendum. Est. Completion Date: Sept. 1, 2023 This Project includes removing the existing bituminous pavement of Runway 16/34, removing and replacing the existing runway edge lights, threshold lights, runway end identification lights, relocating the wind cone, and installing new wiring, conduits, and duct banks for the runway lights. Soil correction will be performed to an anticipated depth of 8' to 10' across approximately 300' of the runway to eliminate organic soils. The Engineer shall be on-site during excavation efforts to determine excavation extents. New granular subbase will be installed, along with 8" of aggregate base course and 4" of new bituminous surfacing. Temporary pavement markings will be installed upon completion of paving operations, and permanent pavement markings will be installed no sooner than 30 days upon completion of paving operations.
