The Grace Hudson Museum - Exterior Painting Services

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The City of Ukiah (City) is seeking bids from qualified Contractors to provide all necessary materials, equipment, and labor to paint the exterior of the Grace Hudson Museum located at, 431 South Main St, Ukiah, California. Pre-Qualification for Bidders: Not Required License Type Required: Class C33 Painting and Decorating Scope of Work The City of Ukiah requests a bid that includes all necessary labor, equipment and materials to paint the exterior of the Grace Hudson Museum including two rain water collection tanks and attached downspouts. Dimensions: The approximate dimensions for the house are detailed in Attachment A. Dimensions are for reference only. Contractor Responsibilities: Contractor is responsible for confirming all dimensions necessary for accurate bid preparation. Contractorshall prepare wallsurfaces, pressure wash, repair any holesin wallsurfaces, and paint asspecified, per these specifications. Safety precautions must be taken asthere may be lead based paint present. Contractor will paint all areas that have been previously painted. This includes all exterior walls, doors and window areas. After proper surface preparation, Contractor shall apply one full coat of Benjamin Moore, Sherman Williams, or Kelly Moore primer on walls, and doors, followed by two coats of Benjamin Moore, Sherman Williams, or Kelly Moore exterior. Contractor will be responsible for all over spray on buildings, concrete, windows and vehicles. Contractor will take whatever steps are necessary to avoid this Paint Colors: The City will select two colors of paint and provide direction on which areas of the building are to be painted with each of the colors. Materials: The Contractor will identify in their bid the manufacturer and part numbers of the primer and paint they intend on using on this project. If Contractor wishes to offer an equivalent paint manufacturer, they must obtain written approval from the City of Ukiah, five (5) working days prior to bid opening.
