Description | City/County: McDonough Section No .23-00000-00-GM Furnish and Install 172,393.0 Foot of Paint Pavement Marking Line 5 Project Location: Various Roads in Mcdonough County ILDOT - Furnish and Install of Paint Pavement Marking Line 5 - 23-00000-00-GM The following Special Provisions supplement the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, adopted January 1, 2022, the latest edition of the Illinois Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, and the Manual of Test Procedures for Materials in effect on the date of invitation for bids, and the Supplemental Specifications and the Recurring Special Provisions, indicated on the Check Sheet included elsewhere herein, which apply to and govern the application of pavement markings at various County Highway and Township Road locations within McDonough County, in the State of Illinois, and in case of conflict with any part or parts of said Specifications, the said Special Provisions shall take precedence and shall govern DESCRIPTION OF WORK MATERIALS, SAMPLING AND TESTING EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS Materials shall meet the requirements of Article 1095.02 of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The contractor shall provide McDonough County with certifications for the paint and bead manufacturers that the materials to be furnished meet all the requirements of the Standard Specifications. The application equipment used for placing lane and edge lines shall be of sufficient size and stability to insure a smooth and straight application. The equipment must have the capability of automatically placing new intermittent line patterns, as well as continuous lines. The mounting shall be such as to allow the equipment to accurately follow road irregularities and produce lines of uniform dimensions. The Contractor shall abide by all local agency ordinances for the County in which the work is being performed in governing the use of their equipment. This work shall consists of repainting existing pavement markings or placing new pavement markings on various roads within McDonough County as is indicated on the enclosed maps and list of roads or as directed by the Engineer. . |
